Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio: Boostrix IPV is a combined vaccine that protects against whooping cough (pertussis), diphtheria, tetanus, and polio. It is used as an adult booster or when polio protection is also needed. Like ADACEL, it is safe and effective, including for use in pregnancy, but it includes the additional polio component, which is not routinely required for all adults.
